K.  Bonus:  Each of you are in FULL CONTROL of you 1% bonus.  Your behavor and actions will either let you keep all or most of your 1% or waste it.

 

It works very easily.  At the end of the semester, your Bonus percent will be added to you class grade percent.  That way, those who are 1% or less away from the next grade level have a chance to get a better grade.

 

To make calculations easier to keep track of, 100 will represent 1.00%. 

 

Losses:

Dress Code and other minor school/class policies: 2       

Tardy:  3 per late                                                          

Phone/Ipod being used during class time:  20                  

Truancy:  Loss of half your current total

Cheating:  Loss of ALL of your current total and no regaining allowed.

 

Gains: (Note: gains CANNOT put total above 100)

On Time: 2 per 5 on time in a row after first Tardy.  Returns to begining if another tardy is gained before 5 days.

All Others: 3 per 5 uninterupted days.

 

It is in your hands.  If you believe that rules are not suppose to apply to you, then do not cry when your 89.9% grade stays at 89.9% due to you having squandered all of your bonus.

 

 

L.  Class Cheating Policy.

 

Sharing of equipment during the exam is not allowed at any time. Loss of 2 on both your total and the borrower's total.

 

No electronic items will be on or out during the duration of the class except your calculator.  (Your phone is NOT YOUR CALCULATOR)

 

If you are caught in the act of individually cheating (notes, looking around, non-calculator electronic device), then your quiz or exam will be immediately taken away and you will get an irreplacible zero..

 

If you turn in an exam or quiz and it can be clearly shown that you did cheat off of a neighbor's paper, you will loose 2 times the value of the problem(s) in calculating your exam score.

 

If you are caught in the act of helping an individual cheat, then you have sacrificed your exam in the name the person you were helping and are subject to an immediate zero.  The person asking will receive NO PENALTY since no cheating was happening until you responded.
